The bare essentials required to go on a hike will depend the hike you go on. Will I get lost or stranded outside?

The chance of this occurring is very very minimal. Routes will always have been taken by Hikeandseek and well researched. I will take as much care as possible to prevent you from getting separated from the group, face an injury or face an unforeseen circumstance. It is up to the participant to make sure they follow my directions at all times stick with the group. and Although very rare, there are emergency measures such as using the PLB to tackle adverse situations that may occur. Participants are advised to let at least one other individual not attending the event know of their whereabouts.

Will I have an opportunity to purchase/access food on the tour?

Participants are encouraged to read the descriptions thoroughly and contact Hikeandseek if unsure of these details. Each tour is different and some tours may require you to prepare all consumable goods prior to the tour date and bring them with you.

How can I best prepare for the weather on the day?

Tours will proceed in most weather conditions except storms, sustained heavy rain and/or winds. Hikeandseek will provide an update on weather a few days before the tour to outline weather details and advice on how best to prepare.

I’ve been to one of the locations on one of your tours and would like to go somewhere different for that part. Is this possible?

Participants are encouraged to provide feedback and although not guaranteed, Hikeandseek can work to accommodate small changes in itinerary especially if this is something all of the participants on the day can unanimously agree on. The tour will go ahead as scheduled to the planned locations as long as one member of the tour party would like it so.
