🍃Northern Blue Mountains – Treasures of the Grose🍃
This trip to the Northern Blue Mountains with Hikeandseek takes you on a short walk to one of the premier lookouts over the Grose Valley from the north looking over grand cliff edges and immersed in the feeling of wilderness. Followed soon after is a visit to the majestic Dalpura Canyon. Dalpura Canyon is a walk-in canyon that sees one walk through mostly shallow waters into changing canyon scenes and finishing at a plunge canyon waterfall. Beware, swimmers must brave the cold! Included in the trip are side visits to Cider breweries and the local artisan bakery for breakfast.

A fair amount of walking required. Total Walking Distance will be approximately 12km with a relatively gentle level of incline. Scrambling is expected during the walk-in canyon. There are 2-3 very short sections where the water may rise to chest level (For a 165cm person). All canyon waters are extremely cold and wetsuits are recommended but not a necessity. (Feel free to enquire more about your fitness suitability and experience for the day) There is a 45minute walk to and from the canyon and there will be time allocated to change into swimmers/wetsuit/water shoes at canyon entry.

Extra Notes: Limited Mobile Reception expected on walks, Personal Photos + Tour Group Photos will be uploaded online and provided within a few days of the tour General Guide of the locations and other features of the Northern Blue Mountains will be given, along with recommendations for future visits and walks, and other foodie stops. Toilet availability is also limited.
Please note that entry into the walk-in canyon is at your own risk and there is always a risk of hypothermia in cold canyon waters. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver in regards to these risks. The canyon walk is generally quite easy with only a gentle scramble or two expected – but slippery conditions should always be heeded in canyon conditions.

The Day’s Itinerary will be outlined to confirmed participants and will visit a variety of locations around the Northern Blue Mountains on the day to walk a walk or two that lead to grand vistas, some drive by lookouts, stops along a variety of delicacies and a drop by a hidden gem or two.

· Food and snacks for the day including lunch (Resting time will be given to have meals and snacks, alternatively this can also be purchased at certain points along the trip)
· Small Backpack
· Sturdy Hiking Shoes, Sturdy enclosed outdoor shoes recommended
· 3 Litres of Water (Half may be left in the car during the walks)
· Camera (Phone)
· Swimmers/Wetsuit/Wet Shoes
· Optional Hiking Poles and Gaiters
· Please let one other person know of your rough whereabouts for the trip.
