🏞Wildlife Spotting (Mainly Birdlife) in the Greater Blue Mountains🏞

Join Hikeandseek on a relaxed day out in several locations around the Greater Blue Mountains on short walks to sight wildlife, especially birds in their natural habitat. Whistlers, Shrike-thrushes, miners, wrens and parrots are just some of the beautiful Australian birds you may be able to witness on this fun day out. Bring your camera, binoculars or even recorder as you witness some of this beautiful wildlife. There will also be open valley views and plenty of bush/forest immersion along the walks.

6:30am - Outside Rydges Hotel World Square 389 Pitt St, Sydney City

7:15am - Outside Westmead Station, Railway Parade at pickup zone near crossing (Opposite MINA Bakery)

6:15pm - Outside Rydges Hotel World Square 389 Pitt St, Sydney City

Easy levels of fitness required. Total Walking Distance will be less than 10km. Expect a fair bit of stop-start action dependant on the wildlife seen.

Extra Notes: Limited Mobile Reception expected on walks, Personal Photos + Tour Group Photos will be uploaded online and provided within a few days of the tour (Care will be taken to take as nice a photo for participants as possible for lasting memories), Bird Photos that can be captured will also be shared. General Guide of the locations and other features of the Blue Mountains will be given, along with recommendations for future visits and walks, and other foodie stops. Where possible, wildlife will be identified and otherwise researched afterwards.

The Day’s exact itinerary will be further outlined to confirmed participants. Please note that this tour will not go ahead if there is rain forecast to be anymore than very spotty and light and refunds will be issued.

The Day’s Itinerary will be outlined to confirmed participants and will visit a variety of waterholes around the Blue Mountains as well as the chance of a dip in good conditions or a note for future visits to the Blue Mountains.

· Sun Protection

· Food and snacks for the day including lunch (Resting time will be given to have meals and snacks, alternatively this can also be purchased at certain points along the trip)

· Small Backpack

· Sturdy Hiking Shoes or Sturdy enclosed outdoor shoes recommended

· 2 Litres of Water (Half may be left in the car during the walks)

· Camera (Phone)

· Camera, Binoculars, Audio Recording device,

· Please let at least one other person know of your rough whereabouts for the trip.

· In light of the times, Hand Sanitizer

· Optional Light hiking chair

In Case of Very Light Rain

· Rain Jacket, Backpack cover
